Welcome Back Week

Commute Seattle joined our partners in welcoming Seattleites and visitors back to downtown Seattle during Welcome Back Week, September 13-17th! We hosted activations throughout the week at Westlake Park and Occidental Square, where we engaged community members with information about recent and upcoming improvements to Seattle’s streets and transit system. We also offered fun giveaways such as transportation-themed face masks and hand sanitizer, as well as a raffle with exciting prizes.

PARK(ing) Day

On Friday 9/17, Commute Seattle hosted a PARK(ing) Day activation in Columbia City, where we repurposed a street parking space as a temporary public space, complete with turf floor, lawn games, cafe seating, pleasant lighting, raffle prizes, and lots of transportation information for commuters and neighborhood residents. We also created a large-scale poster featuring thought-provoking facts about Seattle’s parking infrastructure and impacts on the city – take a peek below!
