On Wednesday, October 12th, Commute Seattle hosted our annual Transportation Transformations event in partnership with the Seattle Department of Transportation. This year’s event took place at Salesforce’s Fremont worksite as well as being livestreamed online, and offered attendees the opportunity to meet SDOT’s new Director, Greg Spotts.
Commute Seattle’s Executive Director, Kirk Hovenkotter, shared information about current projects and programs, as well as his goals and priorities for the year. Next, attendees heard from Kirk and Director Spotts in conversation about the state of transportation and commuting in Seattle. Director Spotts shared insights he has gained from experience living in New York City and Southern California, and spoke about his transition to living car-free in Seattle.
