Taking a street car or rail can be a fun and environmentally friendly way to get around , also all of Seattle’s rail cars run frequently to connect you from one end of Seattle to the other.  

The South Lake Union Streetcar connects South Lake Union, the new waterfront park, Denny Triangle and Downtown.  The Streetcar runs on a 1.3 mile (each way) route and will make 11 stops, with a travel time of 10 minutes from Westlake to South Lake Union.
